A tribute to The Rolling Stones focusing on the early part of their career from 1964 - 1969 including 'Jumping Jack Flash', 'Paint It Black', 'Not Fade Away' and 'Satisfaction'.

    Grace Nichols has written widely for both adults and children. Her first collection of poetry, I Is A Long-Memoried Woman won the 1983 Commonwealth Poetry Prize. Among her other books are the popular The Fat Black Woman’s Poems, Sunris - winner of the Guyana Poetry Prize, I Have Crossed an Ocean and Picasso, I Want My Face Back, inspired by her residency at the Tate Gallery, London 1999 -2000. She is among the poets on the current GCSE syllabus and received the Cholmondeley Award in 2000, as well as an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Hull. Her latest adult book is The Insomnia Poems (Bloodaxe 2017).

Fuzzed up, fierce and full frontal fiery attack coupled with sexy, smooth slidin', southern soul!
  • When four amazingly talented musicians such as John Lawrence, Mark Wilkinson, Darren Redick and Gar Lando are fronted by the electrifying vocals of Stacey Cronin, you have the awesome Asylum Affair. Formed in January 2009, the highly entertaining Asylum Affair are a superb Classic Rock covers band, wringing everything out of their lead guitar, bass guitar, keyboards/sax, drums and female lead vocals lineup.
  • John is still the current lead vocalist & guitarist for The Yardbirds but plays tonight with his undeniable talented band - what a legend to grace The Rec Rooms stage. John Idan, who is originally from Detroit, Michigan, discovered his musical talent at an early age. Following his high school band, he soon started playing with his first professional band 'The Natural Blues Band' making himself a name around Detroit and southeast Michigan. After the break-up of the Natural Blues Band Idan went on a holiday to London during which he met former Yardbirds' guitarist Top Topham and drummer Jim McCarty. In 1988 he moved to the UK to become the singer and lead guitarist of their blues band. Idan soon became known as 'Detroit' John Idan on the London, blues scene.
  • British Country band Ashton Lane have a romantic back-story and come from fine musical stock. They are husband and wife duo Esther and Tim O'Connor and they are part of a new wave of homegrown modern country music originating in the UK.​

  • Peter Donegan is the son of Lonnie Donegan, the ‘Godfather of British Rock n Roll’ and the ‘King Of Skiffle’ Lonnie inspired every British Invasion band from The Beatles to Led Zeppelin. Even The White Stripes’ Jack White cites Lonnie as one of his major influences. All this runs through Peter’s veins and is clearly evident in his live performances, as well as the studio.
