One of England’s best loved bands, The Members have a unique and eclectic mix of Punk, Reggae, Surf and Pop – the true sound of the suburbs!!
2019 sees the 40th Anniversary for the release of The Members iconic anthems ‘The Sound of The Suburbs’ and ‘Offshore Banking Business’. Both Top 40 hits in 1979, these two songs remain as relevant now as they were when first released and have earned their places in the Great British Songbook. Also released in ’79 was their debut album ‘At The Chelsea Nightclub’ which rightly appears in every ‘All Time Great Punk Album Charts’. Apart from the aforementioned singles, the album included ‘Soho-A-Go-Go’, ‘Sally’ and a re-recording of their earlier Stiff Records single ‘Solitary Confinement’ which really should’ve been a new single in its own right.
“The Sound of the Suburbs” sold 1/4 million records in a few weeks in 1979!
Tickets are £10 in advance and £15 on the night if available.
